Can I transfer credits into the MBA program?

Yes, you could potentially transfer up to 9 credit hours from another AACSB accredited MBA program. Once official transcripts are submitted and the student is admitted into the PMBA, the Admissions Office staff will evaluate those past credits and determine if any classes/credits would be transferable into the PMBA program.

What happens if I do not meet the 2.70 GPA requirements?

You may still be considered for the PMBA program. You need to have 3 years of consecutive professional work experience and a minimum score of 500 or more on the GMAT, or a 300 (minimum 146 Verbal and 144 Quantitative) or more on the GRE. This does not guarantee admission; however, the Admissions Office staff will review your application once complete and make an admission decision.

How does a PMBA scholarship apply to my tuition?

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga offers scholarships to its online PMBA students, including a military scholarship of $4,800 ($400 per course), a Merit Scholarship of $2,400 ($200 per course) or an Affiliate Partner Scholarship of $2,400 ($200 per course). Students must meet specific criteria to be considered for the scholarship and will be evaluated upon application. These scholarship are only available to students enrolled in the PMBA program and cannot be combined with any other PMBA Online Scholarship. The scholarships cannot be repeated for a course retaken, cannot be applied in a lump sum at the beginning of the program and cannot be applied retroactively. The PMBA Military Scholarship will be applied toward all educational purposes and is not intended to affect government awarded educational benefits.

Does my extensive work experience exclude me from having to take the GMAT?

No. However, a GMAT waiver may be issued if the applicant holds a Master's degree from an accredited university or holds a terminal degree such as PhD or MD. Admission is not guaranteed.

How is the 2.70 GPA determined?

Admissions Office staff will look at the cumulative GPA of the undergraduate degree, the GPA of the last 60 credit hours of the undergraduate degree, the GPA of a graduate degree, or the GPA of 12 credit hours of graduate work. Additionally, when applying, an applicant must supply transcripts from all institutions from which credit was received. This includes transfer credits acknowledged on any undergraduate or graduate transcripts.

How quickly can I complete the Online PMBA program?

Time to completion is 16-24 months and is dependent on whether credit for previous courses completed has been granted.

What is the cost for in-state vs. out-of-state?

The cost for either PMBA track is currently set at $28,128 for either in–state or out-of-state.* Textbooks are not included in the program tuition and fees.
